Following their heartbreaking 3-2 overtime loss in Boston on Saturday, the Flyers will face a quick turnaround, as they head to Newark, N.J. to take on the Devils in a 5 p.m. matchup.
The Flyers and Devils will meet for the fourth and final time this season, with the Orange and Black going 1-2 in the season series so far. Both teams last met on Jan. 3, with the Devils winning 5-2 — a game that saw now-former Devil Jaromir Jagr become the oldest NHLer to record a hat trick.
For the season series, Mark Streit, Claude Giroux and Wayne Simmonds each lead the Flyers in points, with four points apiece. Adam Henrique and Scott Gomez lead the Devils as well, with four points apiece.
Steve Mason is expected to reprise his role between the pipes for the Flyers, following Saturday's 34-save effort against the Bruins. Mason's still in search of his first win against the Devils, going 0-5-0 in six games.
The Devils are expected to counter with Cory Schneider, who has started all three games against the Flyers this season as well as 11 of the Devils' last 12 games. All-time against the Orange and Black, Schneider stands at 2-2, with a 2.75 GAA and .912 save percentage.
The Flyers also recalled Brandon Manning from their American League-affiliate Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Saturday, following the loss to Boston. The move coincides with a shot that Michael Del Zotto blocked midway through the first period — which saw him sit out the rest of the first, but play the rest of the game.
- Power Play: Flyers (3rd, 7th on road), Devils (9th, T-19th at home)

- Milestone Watch: Wayne Simmonds still remains two goals away from 100 as a Flyer.
