Dez Bryant's play may have helped keep the Eagles out of the playoffs in 2014. The Cowboys were reportedly working on a new long-term contract for their star.  But those talks have reportedly come to a screeching halt, as Bryant may be in a great deal of trouble.

On Friday Mike Florio said on radio station 105.3 the Fan that something was up with Bryant (via The Big Lead).

In this alleged “video,” Dez Bryant does something “bad.” Per Florio, “all of the major insiders” have known about this video for months, but, for now, it remains out of the public eye.

The website Terez Owens today says that the video is about to be released and the video could end his playing career.

“We’re being told the Cowboys have warned Dez the tape is going to be released, and from someone who has seen it, that it’s five times worse than the Ray Rice Video,” the report states. “His football career is in jeopardy according to our source. Also a Dez insider tells us he is being brainwashed by Jay Z and Roc Nation Sports.”

At this time, it is not clear who has possession of said video or what Bryant may be doing in it.

Ray Rice was fined and suspended by the NFL for physically assaulting his fiancee in an Atlantic City casino elevator.  Upon its release, the video of the incident led to Rice's release from the Baltimore Ravens.  Rice has yet to sign with a team since, and may never again as teams would prefer to distance themselves from such behavior.

Losing Bryant would certainly change the landscape in the NFC East.  The Cowboys probably would have been division favorites in 2015 once again, but losing their star wide receiver could mean that the team has to address that position in the draft, keeping the Cowboys from addressing other positions.  Few wide receivers in the game can match Bryant's ability.

Stay tuned.
