The NBA trade deadline is today and knowing Sam Hinkie, the Sixers may be involved in some trades to stock up on more draft picks by acquiring expiring contracts from other teams. Last year, Evan Turner, Lavoy Allen and Spencer Hawes were all dealt on the same day.

Derek Bodner of ESPN 97.3 tweets – Source: the pick the Sixers received in the K.J. McDaniels trade will be the lesser of Denver or Minnesota's 2015 2nd round pick. Clarification: by lesser I mean the one of lesser value (later in draft)
Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports reports that the Sixers have signed PG Tim Frazier to a second 10-day contract. In three games with the Sixers during his first contract, Frazier averaged five points, 4.7 rebounds and 8.7 assists. (4:50pm)
Bob Cooney of the Daily News tweets that the Sixers have dealt K.J. McDaniels to Houston in exchange for Isaiah Canaan and a second round pick. (3:19pm)
ESPN's Marc Stein reports details of the MCW deal. Carter-Williams and Tyler Ennis are headed to the Bucks, Brandon Knight will go to Phoenix and the Sixers will get Isaiah Thomas and picks. Update: Actually Thomas is headed to Boston from Phoenix. (3:18pm)
Yahoo! Sports Adrian Wojnarowski tweets that Sixers PG Michael Carter-Williams is reportedly headed to Milwaukee in a deal that will send Brandon Knight from the Bucks to the Suns. (3:08pm)
Chad Ford of ESPN tweets that the Sixers are getting the Lakers pick owed to the Suns (protected 1-5 this year) as part of MCW deal with Bucks/Suns. The Lakers pick is top 5 protected in 2015, top 3 protected in 2016 & 2017, and unprotected in 2018, per Derek Bodner of ESPN 97.3.(3:06pm)

Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated tweets that a source has told him the Nuggets will obtain rights to one of the Sixers foreign players. The Nuggets will also get a sizable trade exception in the deal. (12:15pm)
Yahoo! Sports Adrian Wojnarowski tweets that Denver has agreed to send JaVale McGee to Philadelphia, along with a 2015 first-round pick via OKC. The pick is top-18 protected. So, as long as the Thunder make the playoffs, the Sixers could potentially have three first rounders in the upcoming draft. If the season ended today, the Thunder would pick 16th. (11:56am)
- McGee earns $11 million this season and $12 million for the 2015-16 season. It seems the Sixers will pay McGee’s salary in order to pick up that first-round pick.
- Derek Bodner of ESPN 97.3 tweets that the OKC pick is top 18 protected in 2015, then top 15 protected in 2016 and 2017. Turns into 2nd round picks if not conveyed by 2017.
Wojnarowski also reports that the Sixers are interested in acquiring Chase Budinger from the Timberwolves for draft considerations. Philadelphia would work out a buy-out deal with Budinger if the trade were to go through. The Sixers and T'Wolves are rumored to be part of a larger deal that could send Kevin Garnett to Minnesota for Thaddeus Young. (11:21am)
