Prior to the new year, Baseball America released the Phillies Top 10 Prospects. Since then, the Phillies have made some moves, most specifically involving Jimmy Rollins and Marlon Byrd, causing the top 10 list to be shuffled. In Baseball America's latest revised list, those two trades are reflected with the prospects acquired by the Phillies. The updated list is as follows:
- J.P. Crawford SS
- Aaron Nola RHP
- Maikel Franco 3B/1B
- Zach Eflin RHP
- Tom Windle LHP
- Ben Lively RHP
- Roman Quinn OF/SS
- Carlos Tocci OF
- Aaron Brown OF
- Matt Imhof LHP
Though Ruben Amaro may continue to get a bad rap, the three pitchers that were received in trades now comprise pretty high spots in the top 10. With the additions of Eflin, Windle and Lively to the mix, Roman Quinn shifted from the four spot down to number seven and Matt Imhof moved down three spots to number 10 from number seven.
Meanwhile, Jesmuel Valentin (2B), Yoel Mecias (LHP) and Franklyn Kilome (RHP) were not included on the new list after being a part of the Phillies top 10 in December.
