Report: Kyle Kendrick Headed to Colorado Rockies
According to CBS Sports' Jon Heyman, free-agent starter Kyle Kendrick has signed a one-year deal worth $5.5 million with the Colorado Rockies. According to Jeff Passan, the deal also has another $500,000 in it if Kendrick can reach 190 innings pitched this season.
Kendrick, 30, has been a member of the Phillies' organization since he was drafted in the 7th round of the 2003 amateur draft. In eight big-league seasons, Kendrick has garnered a 74-68 record along with a career ERA of 4.42 and a career 1.36 WHIP.
Kendrick has been a full-time, back of the rotation starter for the Phillies for the past three seasons now and 2014 seems to be his last in red pinstripes. Kendrick tallied a 10-13 record and a 4.61 ERA (102 ER in 199 IP) along with a career-high 121 strike outs.
