Wayns has spent time as a member of the Sixers organization in 2012 after going undrafted. In 21 games, he averaged just 2.7 points in 7.9 minutes while shooting just 26.4% from the floor.
This season, he spent limited time with the Clippers, scoring two points in two games. Wayns played 11 games with Rio Grande Valley last season, averaging 12.3 points and 4.2 assists in just over 20 minutes of play.
Wayns entered the NBA draft after averaging 17.6 points and 4.6 assists per game in his junior year at Villanova. The Delaware 87ers host Santa Cruz tonight at 7pm and then will head to Santa Cruz for the NBA D-League Showcase.
The Sixers D-League affiliate sits at 7-11, good for third place in the Atlantic Division behind Canton and Maine.
