Wednesday afternoon, the Philadelphia Eagles announced that offensive guard Evan Mathis has been named to the Pro Bowl, replacing injured Saints guard and Philadelphia-native, Jahri Evans.
This is the second Pro Bowl selection for Mathis, 33, who has started 48 games for the Eagles since joining the team for the 2011 season. That offseason, he signed a five-year contract extension worth $25.5 million, with $7 million guaranteed.
Mathis will join teammates Connor Barwin, Jason Kelce, LeSean McCoy, Jason Peters and Darren Sproles at the Pro Bowl on January 25, 2015 in Arizona.
