Flyers goalie Steve Mason had to be helped off the ice during practice today. The injury occured towards the end of the session after Mason made a save. There is no word yet on what the injury is or the severity of the injury.
Mason was reportedly down on the ice for more that minute or so and needed help from trainer Jim McCrossin and assistant coach Gord Murphy.
Despite the teams record, Mason has been spectatcular since a very poor October. Mason is 6-10-5 on the year with a .921 save percentage and a 2.49 goals against average with one shutout.
The Flyers are set to embark on an eight game road trip beginning tomorrow night in Toronto. We will update this as more information becomes available.
