At Philadelphia Eagles Head Coach Chip Kelly's press conference today, Kelly told reporters that he had no update on the status of Eagles linebacker Trent Cole.  Cole was injured during last night's game against the Dallas Cowboys.  According to a report, Cole's injury is indeed diagnosed, and it could signal the end of Cole's Eagles season and possibly his Eagles career.

According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Cole's season is in doubt:

Trent Cole fractured a bone in his hand against the Cowboys on Sunday night, an NFL source said.

It's unclear if the Eagles outside linebacker will need season-ending surgery. Even if he doesn't, Cole would be a long shot to play against the Redskins on Sunday.

Either way, the injury is devastating to the Eagles, who are no lock to make the playoffs.

McLane notes that Cole could leave as a free agent this upcoming offseason.  With a salary over $10 million this season, Cole might be too pricy for the Eagles in 2015.  So, Cole's Eagles career might be over.
