The Phillies have made a significant trade for the first time in the 2015 offseason and for the first time from their core that won the 2008 World Series. With rebuilding the focus this offseason, the Phillies would have to cut ties with some of the organization's favorite players, if for no other reason than to turn the page to a new era.
Jim Salisbury of CSN Philly is reporting that the Phillies and Los Angeles Dodgers have struck a deal:
Industry source says Rollins to Dodgers is done deal.

Jon Heyman of CBS Sports first reported that Rollins was willing to join the Dodgers.
No word as to who may be coming back to the Phillies.
Rollins leaves the Phillies as the all-time hits leader with 2,306. Rollins is also the Phillies all-time leader in doubles, games played at shortstop, and at bats. Rollins ranks third in Phillies history in triples, sixth in walks, and second in stolen bases. Most importantly, Jimmy Rollins helped lead the Phillies to their second World Series Championship in 2008.
Mark your calendar: August 4, 5, and 6 the Los Angeles Dodgers are coming to Citizens Bank Park. Phillies fans are sure to come out to thank Rollins for his contributions to the Phillies and the City of Philadelphia. I am sure that upon Rollins' retirement, number 11 will be officially retired, too.
Farewell, Jimmy.
