While things seem to be getting no better here in Philadelphia with the 0-17 Sixers, there is some promise after all. We already know that Furkan Aldemir is en route to Philadelphia from his Galatasary team. Now, the Sixers received even more good news as Dario Saric was awarded MVP for the month of November in the Euroleague. Saric became the youngest player in the Euroleague to earn MVP of the Month honors.
When Saric's team, Anadolu Efes, lost their center Nenac Kristic, the 20-year-old forward took advantage of the extended amount of playing time. Through the first two games of their season, Saric averaged nine points and 2.5 rebounds in 17.5 minutes. Since getting raised up to an average of 24.5 minutes a game in November, better results showed for the 12th overall pick in this year's draft. In four games, Saric averaged 15.5 points and 7.8 rebounds with a field-goal percentage of 56.1.
On draft night, the Sixers acquired the rights to Saric from Orlando in exchange for Elfrid Payton, who is averaging 6.6 points and 4.9 rebounds in just under 24 minutes a game this season for the Magic.
