It's that time again, as Flyerdelphia picks this week's Player and Play of the Week.

Our Player of the Week is Claude Giroux. While Jake Voracek has been on a roll since the start of the season, Giroux has consistenly put up points himself.

He carried a five-game points streak into Wednesday's shutout loss to the Rangers, but picked right back up on Thursday with a goal in a loss to Minnesota and added two assists in Saturday's win over Columbus. In his last eight games, Giroux has 11 points.

Our Play of the Week also goes to Giroux, whose game-tying goal gave the Flyers a chance at a win on Thursday night. The captain receives a great pass from Brayden Schenn and fires a shot past Darcy Kuemper to even the score on a power-play goal with 3:30 remaining in the third. Unfortunately, a goal in the final minute gave the Wild a win.
