Sixers Recap 11/21

Well if anything was clear in the first 30 seconds of the game last night,  it was that Nerlens Noel was a tad angry at the comments made by Eric Bledsoe.  He was clearly trying to make a statement by causing a stir early.  It seemed to work for the most part,  when the Sixers led by 1 going into the second quarter.  After that,  the Suns never looked back. The Suns ended winning by a score of 122-96.  The lead grew to 10,  then 20 and the rout was on. It was just a classic case of the Sixers being overpowered by a team that will do some damage this year in the western conference. You can try and find some positives from last night, but its extremely hard to. MCW did finish last night with 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists, but there were points in the game that he just refused to share the ball. He also led the team in shots with 18, with next closest being KJ McDaniels with 12. I will give him a little bit of a pass this time, due to the fact that he’s through his first week of the season. Down the road though, if he isn’t sharing the ball, then nobody will get better. Its that simple. Hopefully when we look back on this in a few years and Hinkle's plan has worked completely, everyone gives Brett Brown a pat on the back for sticking with us. I think if there’s anyone who has yet to show us what he can do (due to the  lack of talent of course), its Brett Brown. Just watching him give the post game speech is painful. If this does become a success in the future, Brown will have truly done the impossible taking a team from rags to riches.

On the card for today the Sixers take on the New York Knicks. This could possibly be a win as the Knicks haven’t been anything special. There is one thing they have that we don’t, and that is Carmelo Anthony. But you know as they say, “One player doesn’t make a team.”, so hopefully the Sixers come to play and compete with the Knicks later tonight.
