With the season set to begin for the Sixers on Wednesday night, they made a few final moves to get their roster down to 15.
Yesterday, they struck a deal with the Knicks, sending embattled big-man Arnett Moultrie to New York in exchange for Travis Outlaw, whom was promptly waived and a future second round pick.
They also waived Marquis Teague, who they acquired from the Nets last week along with a 2019 second round pick. Teague was a former first round pick and was in the last year of his rookie contract. He has a guaranteed $1.1 million contract this season.
Finally, the Sixers parted ways with Elliot Williams. He played in 67 games last season, averaging six points a contest and 1.9 rebounds a game. He had a solid preseason as well, posting 11 points, 2.7 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game, while shooting 44.4% from beyong the arc and 50% overall.
