The Eagles traded with the Houston Texans in the third round last night to acquire the first pick of Day 3.

With the 101st overall pick and first of the fourth round, the Eagles selected defensive back Jaylen Watkins from Florida.

Another SEC product, Watkins is 5'11" and 198 pounds. Watkins split his time in Florida as a cornerback and a safety, so this pick clearly addresses the secondary.

Watkins had 133 tackles in his career at Florida including a career-high 52, including 31 solo tackles, in his senior season. He had just three interceptions in his career, but posted 11 passes defended in 2012 and seven more in 2013.

The Eagles make three more picks in Day 3, two in the fifth round and one in the seventh round.
