So the Phillies were embarrassed once again by the Toronto Blue Jays tonight, falling 12-6. The offense once again was impotent; only against the Jays' mopup reliever did the Phillies finally score some runs. A roster shake-up was in order.
The move made was to send Freddy Galvis to AAA. Matt Gelb of the Philadelphia Inquirer mentioned three possibilities:
Freddy Galvis was optioned. Move tomorrow. Hernandez, Brignac, Cedeno are possibilities.

Galvis desperately needs to get his bat back on track and hopefully, regular at bats would help him do so.
Cesar Hernandez was sent to AA Reading with the sole purpose of getting him acclimated to the left side of the infield to help the Phillies there in the big leagues. Hernandez has had an incredibly hot bat. Jay Floyd of Phoul Ballz noted that paritcularly has he been hot as of late:
.@ReadingFightins infielder Cesar Hernandez in his last 6 games…11-for-21 (.524 avg), double, triple, 2 HR, 6 RBI. #Phillies

However, Hernandez was out of the lineup for the second day in a row today with a tight groin. Will that keep Hernandez from being called up? Despite being out of the starting lineup on Wednesday, Hernandez did hit a pinch-hit home run in the eighth inning. Maybe he is healthy enough to contribute to the Phillies once again.
Reid Brignac is a non-roster player, so the Phillies would have to add him to the 40-man roster to bring him to the big club. The Phillies outrighted Shawn Camp after Wednesday's loss to the Blue Jays, so there is room on the roster. Whether the Phillies would like to lose the flexibility is another matter.
Brignac is hitting .284 on the season for AAA Lehigh Valley, with five home runs. Three of those home runs have come in the last two days, with one on Wednesday and two on Thursday. In the last 10 days, Brignac is hitting .342. Would they go with the hot hand?
Ronny Cedeño is also a non-roster player that would require the Phillies to add him to the 40-man roster before he could be added to the big club. However, Cedeño is hitting just .186 on the season, and if it is offense that the Phillies need, they are not likely to get it from Cedeño. The Phillies have the weak-hitting backup shortstop position filled with Jayson Nix already, and adding Hernandez or Brignac would give them a second option, though Brignac is the stronger left-side of the infield defender.
