Eagles select OLB Marcus Smith with 26th pick

After trading the 22nd pick of the NFL Draft to the Cleveland Browns, the Eagles made their selection at pick 26.

With the 26th pick, the Eagles selected defensive end/outside linebacker Marcus Smith from Louisville.

Smith, a 6'3", 251-pound linebacker converted to lineman was second in college football with 14.5 sacks and had 18.5 tackles for loss. He was named AAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2013. 

Originally slated to select at pick 22, the Eagles made a move that several expected to see.

The Eagles traded down to pick 26, allowing the Cleveland Browns to move up to pick 22. With that pick, the Browns took quarterback Johnny Manziel

The Eagles acquired the 26th pick in the first round as well and Cleveland's third round pick at 83.
