Phillies Postpone Monday’s Opening Day Until Tuesday

Some Phillies news, with tomorrow's forecast calling for rain:

So, if you're like me, you bought a couple tickets for $100 or so and can't use them, since your Monday was planned way in advance and you have to work on Tuesday.  Anyone wanna buy my tickets?

One side effect: the Phillies now need a fifth starter on Saturday, April 12.  Jonathan Pettibone pitches today in the minors, so it's very possible that the Phillies recall Pettibone to start Saturday's game.

If the Phillies wish to keep him in the minors, they could give Jeff Manship a start, since Manship is already on the roster.

Tomorrow's weather forecast calls for a 40% chance of rain at 4:00 p.m., according to weather.com.   The chance of rain before then is non-existent.  There is only a 100% chance of rain by 8:00 p.m.   If they had moved the festivities back three hours to say, 1:00 p.m., they would get the game in just fine.

All the people who took off of work to go to this game?  They're screwed.
