The Sixers didn't stand a chance tonight as they fell behind early and could never hit an offensive stride. The Bobcats ran all over Philadelphia, winning by a score of 123-93.
With 7:13 to go in the first quarter, the Sixers trailed Charlotte by two points. They wouldn't get any closer. The Bobcats went on a 9-0 run that included hot-shooting over 63% and they gave themselves a 31-19 lead after one.
The second quarter was no different as the Sixers found themselves down 42-24 with over eight minutes to play in the half. Michael Carter-Williams seemed like the only player that was scoring. 63-38 lead for the Bobcats at halftime, thanks in large part to a 59% shooting percentage compared to the Sixers 38.1%.
Michael Carter-Williams had 18 of the Sixers 38 points at the half, shooting 8-for-15 from the field.
The third quarter was more even, but the Sixers were too far behind already. After three, Charlotte led 88-63. Not much else to say about this one.
Charlotte took this game easily, 123-93.
Al Jefferson led the Bobcats with 25 points and 10 rebounds while Anthony Tolliver contributed with 16 points.
For the Sixers, MCW finished with 22 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Henry Sims scored 15, 12 of them in the third quarter. Sims also grabbed six boards. Thad Young finished with just nine points on 4-for-13 shooting. The Sixers struggled from beyond the arc, shooting just 22.2% (4-for-18).
