Flyers Hall-of-Famer Clarke named to HHOF selection committee

The legendary Flyers captain now holds a place in selecting future enshrined players in the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Bobby Clarke, the Flyers long-time captain, leading scorer and former general manager will hold a spot on the Hockey Hall of Fame selection committee, the Hall announced on Wednesday.
Clarke, a 1987 Hockey Hall of Fame inductee, remains the most prolific Flyer in team history. Captain of both Stanley Cup Champion teams in franchise history, Clarke finished his career with 358 goals, 852 assists and 1,210 points.
After his playing career, Clarke served two stints as general manager of the Flyers. Prior to his selection on the committee, he was the Senior Vice President of the Flyers.
Clarke is joined by Nashville Predators GM David Poile and Los Angeles Kings president of business operations Luc Robitaille as the new members of the committee, which is headed by Columbus Blue Jackets president John Davidson.
