Can you smell that?
It smells like change…and bacon.
The Phillies' AAA-affiliate Lehigh Valley IronPigs debuted a new attire of uniforms for the 2014 season, aimed to commemorate and highlight the spirit and character of the Lehigh Valley. This morning, the team unveiled the new unis on the website SmellTheChange.com. This campaign, is geared to give the team a new look all while keeping the familiar and recognized logo in place.
The new logos include a seperate attire for each home-game of the weekend. On Friday nights, the club will don an all-black uniform that is capitalized with a darker (molten red and grey) twist on their original iron pig face logo.
Saturday's uniforms (THE BEST OF ALL) will feature a red jersey that reads "Pigs" and grey pants. The best part about this uniform is the hat – a grey cap that owns a dark blue bill and a delicious-looking bacon strip.
On Sunday's, the team will rock some fresh, light blue, "v-neck" style jerseys which house the original IronPigs logo. This uni is accompanied by a pair of ice-white pants and a light blue hat featuring the Liberty Bell. Paying homage to their MLB affiliate, these jersey's are the sharpest by far. But that bacon cap makes it so hard to choose.
You can check out the new uniforms head-to-toe at SmellTheChange.com. As for me I am finishing this up and headed to MiLB.com to order that bacon hat. I might head downstairs and cook some bacon as well. BACON.
