The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback position has been a revolving door since Chip Kelly's first minicamp practice when the head coach proclaimed an open competition for the starting job.

Michael Vick of course started the season under center before pulling his right hamstring against the New York Giants in week five at MetLife Stadium.

In his absence, Nick Foles has started three games, with two spectacular efforts and one dreadful performance against the Dallas Cowboys on October 20th, throwing for just 80 yards before departing with a concussion late in the third quarter.

On Sunday Foles tied the NFL record for touchdowns in a single game, shredding the Oakland Raiders tenth ranked defense for seven touchdowns and 400 yards passing while posting a perfect 158.3 quarterback rating.

Everyone it seems has an opinion on who the Eagles starting quarterback should be the rest of the season, including ESPN's and former Eagles quarterback Ron Jaworski.

"We've gotta be realistic here," Jaworski told Mike Missanelli on 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia Monday during his weekly appearance on the show. "That Dallas game is going to sit in our minds a little bit so, I want to see more consistency out of Nick Foles before I anoint him the long-term quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles. But that was an amazing, impressive performance yesterday and he deserves the rest of the season to at least finish out and let's see if he is the guy."

Kelly has yet to name a starter for the rest of the season, but Foles will take the first-team repetitions in practice Tuesday with Vick still not healthy enough to return.
