In the worst kept secret in the NFL, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is inactive today against the Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field.

Vick, 33, is still recovering from a pulled left hamstring suffered two weeks ago against the New York Giants and declared Thursday "I'm not playing this week". The 12-year veteran was listed as a full participant in Friday's practice, but under Chip Kelly those practices are simply walk-throughs.

In his place, Nick Foles will make his second start of the season after posting a 133.3 quarterback rating and averaging 8.9 yards per attempt against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Sunday.

Defensively for the Eagles safety Patrick Chung is also inactive, still battling a shoulder injury. Defensive coordinator Bill Davis shed some light on Chung's injury earlier this week saying that the 26-year old has a nerve injury in his shoulder.

Rookie Earl Wolff gets the nod in Chung's place. In six games Wolff has posted 28 tackles.

Also among the Eagles inactives are second-year running back Chris Polk and in his place is rookie Matthew Tucker who the Birds elevated from the practice squad Saturday.

Matt Tobin, Dennis Kelly and Damion Square are also inactive for the Eagles.

For the Cowboys, DeMarcus Ware will miss the first-game of his career as he is inactive, as is running back DeMarco Murray
