New Flyers head coach Craig Berube will make his debut on Tuesday.

Tuesday marks a new era in Flyers hockey with the debut of Craig Berube as head coach. In the meantime, the Flyers are still looking for their first win of the season or points for that matter.

The Flyers return home as they face the Florida Panthers in the fourth game of the season.

Obviously, the first three games have been a struggle for the Flyers. They have a total of three goals, with Brayden Schenn, Vincent Lecavalier and Luke Schenn have scored in the Flyers three games.

Defensively, the Flyers have struggled. The entire defensive grouping of Mark Streit, Nick Grossmann, Braydon CoburnAndrej Meszaros, Kimmo Timonen and Schenn have all contributed to a goal.

The changes were noticable under Berube. The Flyers top line now consists of Claude Giroux, Scott Hartnell and Wayne Simmonds. Jakub Voracek has been bumped to line two with Schenn and Lecavalier.

After following a pattern all through the preseason into the regular season, the Flyers are breaking up the trend by starting Steve Mason in goal for the second straight game.

Hal Gill, Erik Gustafsson and Kris Newbury are the scratches for tonight's game.

The Panthers continue their season-opening road stretch with their third straight road game. They enter with a 1-1-0 record.

The Panthers are a team that have struggled with scoring as well. Marcel Goc has two of the Panthers four goals. Scott Gomez and Aleksander Barkov have the other two.

Florida possesses a strong young group of forwards headed by Jonathan Huberdeau. There is also plenty of scoring potential among names like Tomas Fleischmann, Brad Boyes and Tomas Kopecky. You can also factor in former Flyers Scottie Upshall and Kris Versteeg.

Defensively, the Panthers are led by veteran Brian Campbell. Dmitry Kulikov and Ryan Whitney are also part of the Panthers strong defense, which has killed off six of seven penalties.

The Panthers will also turn to a familiar Flyers foe in goal. Tim Thomas will likely get the start for Florida.
