After exiting Sunday's 36-21 Philadelphia Eagles win over the New York Giants with a hamstring injury just before halftime it appears Michael Vick will miss Sunday's game in Tampa Bay.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Vick will be forced to sit out due to his left hamstring injury and Nick Foles will make his first start of the season.
After the game Vick explained that he was sore and had never experienced a hamstring injury before in his career.
In relief of Vick, Foles finished 16-25 passing for 197 yards and two touchdowns. He will return to Tampa on Sunday, the site of his lone win in five starts as a rookie last season.
Asked after the game if Foles has the opportunity to win the starting job, head coach Chip Kelly said; "no". This certainly has the potential to be a developing storyline this week and as LNG as the Arizona product plays well or Vick remains on the sidelines.
