Brent Celek celebrates after scoring a touchdown in the fourth quarter of the Eagles 36-21 win over the Giants.

When Michael Vick went down with a hamstring injury in the second quarter, Nick Foles was chomping at the bit to get into the game. This was his chance.

Foles started by leading a drive into Giants' territory that resulted in a field goal, extending the Eagles lead to 12 to close the first half. After a shaky third quarter by the defense, Foles was leading the way again, helping the Eagles pull away to a 36-21 win over the New York Giants in Week 5 on Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium.

The Giants didn't take long to get on the board. After an Eagles' three-and-out, the Giants needed just five plays to advance up the field and score on a David Wilson run.

The Eagles answered with a pair of field goals before scoring their first touchdown of the game on a LeSean McCoy one-yard run. Two more field goals by Alex Henery to close the half gave the Eagles a 19-7 lead at the half.

The Giants controlled the third quarter, with Eli Manning finding Rueben Randle for two touchdowns in the quarter. Henery added a fifth field goal late in the quarter to give the Eagles a one-point lead after three.

The Eagles would capitalize on a pair of turnovers in the fourth for touchdowns. First, Foles found Brent Celek on a 25-yard touchdown pass. Just two minutes later, he fired another touchdown pass from five yards out to DeSean Jackson.

Foles came on for Vick in time for the final drive of the first half and remained in the game for the second half. He completed 16 of 25 passes for 197 yards and two touchdowns. Jackson was the primary target, catching seven passes for 132 yards and a touchdown. McCoy was second with six catches for 46 yards.

Manning threw three fourth-quarter interceptions to go with a first-half fumble, giving the Giants four turnovers. The Eagles did not turn the ball over in the game.

Cary Williams, Mychal Kendricks and Brandon Boykin picked up interceptions against Manning. For the first time all season, the Eagles won the possession battle, holding the ball for 32:07 of the game. The Giants also committed 12 penalties for 136 yards compared to the Eagles eight for 88 yards.

The Eagles improved to 2-3 on the season with their second win in divisional games. They travel to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next Sunday.
