The Kansas City Royals fans are getting increasingly impatient with manager Ned Yost. And already, fans and media have begun to speculate that Yost will be fired should the Royals not make the playoffs. The Royals are seven games out of first place with 18 games to play. The Royals are four games out of a wild card birth, but the field is crowded.
ESPN's Jayson Stark was a guest of "The Program" on 810AM WGH in Kansas City and he mentioned one name who might be interested in the job should it be open: Charlie Manuel. Dan Gelston of the Associated Press caught the interview:
Jayson Stark on KC sports radio: "I'll tell you a guy who would love to manage the Royals, and I know this for a fact….Charlie Manuel."

The Kansas City Royals had high hopes for 2013 after their talented young core got more experience and the team added veteran ace starter James Shields. Missing the playoffs may be enough for the team to let Yost go.
However, popular opinion will not get Yost fired. General Manager Dayton Moore will make that decision. Manuel could be a viable option.
Until then, expect more of this on Twitter:
