Phillies And Braves Head To Game Two Of Final Citizens Bank Park Matchup

If your Phillies calendar or tickets said 1:05 p.m. for today's start time, you aren't imagining things.  Tonight's game was moved to 7:05 p.m.   The Braves and Phillies meet for the second time this series, the last meeting of the two teams at Citizens Bank Park this season.  A Phillies win would give the Phillies a series win after last night's 2-1 victory behind a dominant performance from Cliff Lee.

The two teams come into the contest without a top outfielder each.   The Braves are once again without  right fielder Jason Heyward and the Phillies are without left fielder Domonic Brown.  Justin Upton slides over to right field for the Braves as catcher Evan Gattis mans left field.  The Phillies will use Darin Ruf in left field, with John Mayberry taking care of right field.

Kyle Kendrick takes the mound for the Phillies, hoping to halt his second-half skid.  Kendrick was 8-6 with a 3.86 ERA prior to the All-Star break and has gone 2-6 with a 6.70 ERA since.  Kendrick's last start, Sunday against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field, was a typical second-half Kendrick start.  Kendrick went six innings and allowed five earned runs in a Phillies loss.

Braves turn to rookie starter Alex Wood, who was obliterated in his last start by the Miami Marlins.  Wood allowed eight hits and seven runs in just two and two-thirds innings.  This start came after Wood wrapped up an impressive August in which he went 2-0 with a 0.90 ERA in five starts.  Wood has been very reliable for the Braves since joining the rotation.  Wood has allowed three or fewer earned runs in each start other than his first start and most recent start.

Game Notes: 

• Darin Ruf continues to bounce around the field.  Tonight he will start in left field after starting at first base last night.
• Jimmy Rollins has yet another day not in the Phillies' lineup.  Freddy Galvis, last night's left fielder, will start at shortstop.
• Cesar Hernandez leads off for the fifth straight day since being recalled.
