Getting National Attention? Phillies – Braves Game Moved To National Television

PettiboneAdam

Phillies fans are not the only ones taking notice of the Phillies' recent surge; the national scene has gotten on board the Phillies bandwagon, too.

Phillies ticketholders got a message this afternoon from the Phillies:

Dear Frank Klose,

Thank you for your support of the Phillies and for purchasing tickets to the Sunday, August 4th game (game #53) versus the Atlanta Braves.

The tickets you currently hold show a start time of 1:35 p.m. However, the Phillies have been notified that this game has been selected by ESPN for broadcast on Sunday Night Baseball.

The new game time for August 4th will be 8:05 p.m. Please make a note of the official game time.

Ashburn Alley (left field gates) will open at 5:35 p.m. and all other ballpark gates will open at 6:05 p.m.

If you have any questions regarding the start time for this game please contact the Phillies Ticket Office at 215-463-1000.

Once again, thank you for your support of the Phillies.

Sincerely,

The Phillies Ticket Office

The series will be a big series for the Phillies, looking to make up ground on the Braves.  In the last two weeks, the Phillies have gained just one game on the Atlanta Braves and now sit 6.5 games out of first place at the All-Star Break.

Of course, with the non-waiver trade deadline in just fourteen days, the Phillies team could look much different by August 2, for better or for worse.
