Mike Adams' First Phillies Appearance Could Be on ESPN

The Phillies will open the 2013 with a little bit extra exposure.   The Phillies and the Atlanta Braves will open on Monday, April 1 at 7:00 p.m. in Atlanta.  The game will be carried on ESPN2 as part of a four-game night on ESPN.

The Phillies game will be carried regionally on ESPN2 while no game is concurrently broadcast on ESPN.  It won't mean that the Phillies are front and center, but it's nice to get some extra exposure.  ESPN will carry the Red Sox and Yankees at 1:00 p.m., the Dodgers and Giants at 4:00 p.m., before baseball switches to ESPN2 at 7:00 p.m. for the Phillies and Braves, followed by the Diamondbacks and Cardinals at 10:00 p.m.

The first game of the 2013 MLB season will be played on March 31 in Texas between the Houston Astros and Texas Rangers.  That will be also broadcast on ESPN as the first "Sunday Night Baseball" game of the season.
