The Phillies just announced they hired Bart Braun as Special Assistant to the GM. Braun is best known as a scout for the Tampa Bay Rays. Tampa Bay has been the gold standard of good scouting ever since their run to the 2008 World Series. It's tough to argue bringing someone on board who has had a part in their recent success.
