AT&T sponsored a "Win at Home" contest for Phillies fans last season.  The top prize was to be a redesign of a family room and a barbecue with a Phillies player visit.  This visit was from Kyle Kendrick.  The winner was excited

Fanning herself and repeatedly telling her friends how amazing it was to have Kendrick in her house, the AT&T Win at Home contest winner received a family room redesign, barbecue, and the opportunity to hang out with Kendrick.

I'm very appreciative of all Kyle Kendrick has done for the Phillies this season, particularly his recent stretch of dominant pitching.  But is this THAT big an incentive?

Let's face it: Phillies fans don't like Kyle Kendrick all the time.  In fact, if you randomly polled a group of 20 Phillies fans, how many would be excited?  I am sure they would be polite about it, since all Phillies fans are polite.

I would think it to be a little risky for a big company like AT&T to pick Kyle Kendrick as the prize? They have money indeed, but also a reputation.  What if the winner was less than enthusastic? It might have not gone so great.

The winner also got a Kyle Kendrick jersey (I'd take it) and one with her name (tacky).
