According to Iron Pigs beat reporter Michael LoRe, Phillies OF prospect Domonic Brown has hit the disabled list with a right knee sprain.
Brown has been hurt for a while; back on June 15th we first noted that Brown's right knee hurt, but the extent was unknown. Since then, Brown has been listed as day-to-day. The move gives the Iron Pigs move on the roster for infielder Michael Martinez, optioned to AAA today to make room for Chase Utley.
The move should be retroactive and he can be activated at pretty much any time that he feels better, but he is no longer taking up a roster spot.
Brown had been on a surge after being moved to center field for the Iron Pigs.
