Halladay, Phillies Take On Yankees Again

After yesterday's 8-5 loss to the New York Yankees, the Phillies will make the 17 mile trip to George M. Steinbrenner Field to play the second of three consecutive games against the Yankees. Today, Roy Halladay (2011: 19-6, 2.35 ERA) will take the hill and make the start against the Yankees. Halladay will be making his first start since Game 5 of the NLDS.

Halladay will face some Yankee regulars today: Derek Jeter, Robinson Cano, Alex Rodriguez, Mark Teixeira, Andruw Jones, Francisco Cervelli, Chris Dickerson, DeWayne Wise, and Justin Maxwell are set in the Yankees' starting lineup.

The Phillies will face Freddy Garcia (2011: 12-8, 3.62) this afternoon. Yesteday, the lineup didn't do extremely bad. Hunter Pence hit a two-run home run, Tyson Gillies went 2-for-3, and small ball helped the Phillies gain some runs in the late innings. Today, their lineup is a bit different from yesterday.
