Nice piece on mlb.com by Zack Meisel today about Carlos Carrasco and Lou Marson, one-time Phillies prospects who were traded to Cleveland in 2009 for Cliff Lee.
The Indians player with the biggest upside is young catcher Carlos Santana, but Marson has had repeated opportunities to catch Carrasco.
A quote from Carrasco on working with Marson:
"It's like he reads my mind…If I want fastball, he calls fastball. If I want slider, he knows everything…We've been working [together] for eight years, and he knows what I want to throw."
With yesterday's win against Pittsburgh, Carrasco is in the middle of a 21 1/3 inning scoreless streak.
