And the award for least favorite Phillies player wife goes to…

According to deadspin.com, at a recent MANNA charity event Ryan Madson's wife, Sarah, was asked how she likes living in Philadelphia:

"I hate the fans. It is bad enough that they bother us during the season, but they will not leave us alone in December when we go out to eat. We stayed here during the off season last year, but we will be going to California this year. There must be something particularly bad about Phillies fans because all the players leave in the off season."  -Sarah Madson

Wow. Where do I begin?

Should we feel bad for Mrs. Madson that her husband is a high profile athlete in our city? Does she mind the recognition while she's spending the millions of dollars that her husband makes, all thanks to the fans that she supposedly "hates?"

Ryan Madson will be a free agent after this year. It'll be hard enough to keep him, with Scott Boras as his agent (spelled $cott Boras). It'll be harder now that his wife apparently hates it here.

UPDATE 4/14 1:50 p.m. by Frank Klose:

Karen Araiza of NBC Philadelphia has written a piece backing up the credibility of the blogger who first reported this.    The blogger's credibility was questioned by a local blogger Kyle Scott of Crossing Broad, who recognized Laura Goldman from her previous bouts with the law that included extradition from Israel after going after a billionaire she had an affair with.

Araiza quotes Goldman as saying, "They can say whatever they want about me.  She absolutely said it and I identified myself as a reporter. I have witnesses that she said it. I told people at the time that she said it."
