With the Eagles potentially heading into their match-up with the Seahawks with just three healthy receivers, a move needed to be made.
On Saturday, the Eagles promoted Greg Ward Jr. to the 53-man roster.

Ward was previously active, but did not see any targets.
In the preseason, Ward was a standout who caught everything thrown to him. If he can just avoid drops, he could be a key part to this offense.
To create room, Rudy Ford was placed on IR.
Ford had been dealing with an injury suffered in practice on Wednesday. His absence means Marcus Epps is the third safety on the Eagles roster.
Ford was a leader for the Eagles special teams unit.
