It’s back home for the Flyers as they continue a busy first week of the preseason with a meeting against the Boston Bruins.

The Flyers suffered two losses in the first two games of the preseason, both to the Islanders, including an overtime loss on Tuesday.

The two teams hit the ice for game action at 7 p.m. at Wells Fargo Center.

The Flyers will go with their most veteran lineup so far this preseason. Claude Giroux and Sean Couturier make their preseason debut, while James van Riemsdyk and Jake Voracek are back in the lineup. 

Joel Farabee returns to the lineup and joins the top duo. Morgan Frost also makes his preseason debut after missing a couple of days with injury and will be on a line with van Riemsdyk and Voracek.

Defensively, the projected top 4 defensemen are all in the lineup. It will mark the preseason debut for Matt Niskanen and Ivan Provorov while Shayne Gostisbehere and Justin Braun are both in the lineup. 

Brian Elliott will also start in goal once again. This time, Elliott will start and play the first two periods. Alex Lyon will play the third.

This is just the second game of the preseason for the Bruins. They opened on Monday night with a 4-3 overtime loss to the New Jersey Devils.
