If Bryce Harper and the red-hot Phillies, or the playoff-bound Philadelphia 76ers, are not enough to excite you as a Philadelphia sports fan, here's another — professional football in the city is right around the corner with the Philadelphia Soul.

On Wednesday, the Soul announced their 2019 training camp schedule under the revitalized league, featuring six teams — including the recently named Atlantic City Blackjacks. Training camp begins this Saturday, April 6, at the Virtua/Total Turf Experience in Pitman, NJ.

Players will spend this weekend undergoing physicals and attending introductory meetings, before their first practice Sunday night. Padded practices will begin on next Wednesday, April 10, from 9 to 11:30 a.m.

Next, the Soul will host a joint scrimmage with the Blackjacks on Saturday, April 13, at 9 a.m. at Virtua/Total Turf Experience, where after the team will cut its roster to 28 players.

Four more cuts will be made over the following week to finalize the 24-man roster, due Saturday, April 20.

All practices are open to the public.

The Soul will kick off the 2019 season, their 14th, home against the Blackjacks on Saturday, April 27 at 3:30 p.m.
