The "Piano Man" is headed to Citizens Bank Park for the sixth consecutive year. On Thursday, the Philadelphia Phillies and Live Nation announced that six-time GRAMMY® Award winner Billy Joel will play once again at the venue, 15 days after his 70th birthday on Friday, May 24.

In addition, Joel has been named Citizens Bank Park's first stadium residency and music franchise. The Phillies will present him a key to the stadium in recognition of this honor.

During all home games in May, the Phillies will have a special kiosk with tour merchandise for sale, according to Phillies.com, which writes:

Billy Joel, who will celebrate his 70th birthday on May 9, 2019, is the first artist to perform for a record-breaking six consecutive years at the Phillies Ballpark and he holds the record for the most live performances by any artist in the venue's 15-year history.

"Billy Joel's past performances at Citizens Bank Park have been exceptional which is why his fans in Philadelphia return year after year," said Phillies Executive Vice President David Buck. "In addition to being thrilled that he will perform again at Citizens Bank Park in 2019, we are also honored that Billy has chosen our ballpark as his residency. That speaks volumes about his personal connection with our city."

Tickets will be available for purchase to the general public on Friday, January 11, at 10 a.m., with presale access also available.
