By Kevin Durso, Sports Talk Philly editor Flyers-Islanders: Preseason Game 5 Preview

For just the second time this preseason, the Flyers will be the home team. The game takes place in PPL Center, home to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, for the fourth annual preseason meeting in Allentown.

The Flyers will face a familiar opponent, the New York Islanders, for the fourth and final time this preseason.

Game time is set for 7 p.m.

The Flyers will send a pretty sizable group of NHL veterans to Allentown. Jake Voracek, James van Riemsdyk, Travis Konecny, Nolan Patrick, Ivan Provorov and Shayne Gostisbehere will all play in Friday's game.

Additionally, a few members from last year's Phantoms team are also confirmed to be playing in the game. Mikhail Vorobyev, Oskar Lindblom and Phil Myers will all play as well.

Michal Neuvirth and Carter Hart were expected to split duties in goal, but Neuvirth left the ice early in the morning skate after speaking with trainers. Anthony Stolarz skated with the non-game group later in the morning, but left the ice early and will travel to Allentown to serve as backup in the event that Neuvirth is unable to play.

Scott Laughton, Nicolas Aube-Kubel and Christian Folin skated as extras during the morning skate.
