By Kevin Durso, Sports Talk Philly editor Flyers-Islanders: 2018 Prospect Game Preview

It may be just an exhibition to close out rookie camp, but it is still the first game action of camp for the Flyers, and with the pool of prospects they have, there is certainly excitement.

The Flyers and New York Islanders will face off once again in a prospects game at 6 p.m. in East Meadow, NY. The game will be live-streamed on the Flyers website via the Islanders website.

Last year, these two teams faced off in front of a crowd of over 13,000 fans at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, with the Islanders claiming a 4-3 overtime win. Many of the prospects participating in the game for both sides will be back on the ice.

For the Flyers, Oskar Lindblom, Phil Myers, Carter Hart and Morgan Frost have been the headliners of rookie camp with others such as Mikhail Vorobyev, Isaac Ratcliffe and Carsen Twarynski standing out in the first couple of days of camp.

For the Islanders, top prospects Josh Ho-Sang, Kieffer Bellows and Michael Dal Colle are once again participating as well as new draft picks Noah Dobson and Bode Wilde. Ivan Kosorenkov, who played in last year's rookie game with the Flyers, is on an ATO with the Islanders and in camp.
