By Paul Bowman, Sports Talk Philly Staff Bradham suspended for first game of 2018 season

The Philadelphia Eagles will start their 2018 season as the reigning Super Bowl Champions on September 6, however they will be missing a key player – linebacker Nigel Bradham.

Field Yates of ESPN first reported earlier today that Bradham may be facing a one-game suspension:

Only a few hours later, Bradham himself confirmed the news and apologized to his teammates and fans while citing the reason for the suspention:

As Bradham mentions in his post, the suspension is a result of his arrest in Miami almost two years ago.

With veteran linebacker Paul Worrilow already placed on injured reserve with a torn ACL, it is likely that Corey Nelson and Kamu Grugier-Hill will compete to start in Bradham’s place for the season opener against the Atlanta Falcons.
