Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Pat Neshek (shoulder, forearm) made a rehab appearance in the Double-A Fightin Phils' 4-1 home defeat against the Erie SeaWolves on Tuesday, June 27, at FirstEnergy Stadium.
With the Fightin Phils down 3-0 in the eighth inning, Neshek entered and surrendered one run on two hits and a strikeout, spanning 16 pitches, 10 strikes and five batters faced. The SeaWolves' Harold Castro began the frame against Neshek with a leadoff single. Following a flyout (Danny Woodrow), Neshek allowed a RBI triple to Jacob Robson — his third — before retiring the last two batters via a popout (Sergio Alcantara) and strikeout looking (Daz Cameron).
Overall, Neshek has a 4.50 ERA, three strikeouts and a 1.000 WHIP against eight batters faced, spanning two rehab appearances and as many innings between High-A Clearwater and Double-A Reading.
There is no timetable for the 37-year-old's return to the majors.
