Just one day after being named Eastern League Pitcher of the Week, Philadelphia Phillies No. 9 prospect — southpaw Ranger Suarez — has been promoted to Triple-A Lehigh Valley, according to The Athletic's Meghan Montemurro. Suarez fills the void left by injured IronPigs right-hander Ben Lively, as he was placed on the disabled list on Monday with a right shoulder strain.

From June 18-24, the 22-year-old went 2-0 in 14 innings with seven strikeouts, a 0.64 ERA and one complete game. Overall this season in 12 starts at Double-A Reading, Suarez went 4-3 with a 2.76 ERA, 54-20 strikeout-to-walk ratio, and 1.120 WHIP spanning 75 innings.
