Phillies place Ramos on 10-day disabled list, recall Neris from Lehigh Valley

One day after surrendering a pair of runs in two-thirds of an inning during the 8-6 series finale defeat to the Washington Nationals on Sunday, Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Edubray Ramos has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a right shoulder impingement. In a corresponding move, the club recalled right-hander Hector Neris from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Ramos — who leads the Phillies this season in ERA (1.24) — has no timetable for a return. Neris returns to the majors just seven days after his demotion. Neris allowed just one walk in two outings and as many innings with the IronPigs. He struck out two, while walking one of his seven batters faced. Neris has a 6.00 ERA in 30 games and 27 innings in the majors this season.
