The Eagles are rounding out their roster as offseason activities get set to intensify in the coming weeks.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network the newest Eagle is one that used to play for a division rival:
The #Eagles are signing FA RB Matt Jones, formerly of the #Colts, today, source says. He won a 3-RB workout on Tuesday.

Jones, 25, spent last season with the Indianapolis Colts but only carried the ball five times. In 2015 and 2016 Jones played for the Washington Redskins where he amassed 950 yards on 243 carries and six touchdowns.
Jones lost the starting job in Washington during the 2016 season after the duo of Chris Thompson and Rob Kelley proved to be more effective than the former Florida Gator.
According to Rapoport Jones won the roster spot during three running back tryout with the Eagles. One of the participants was former Baltimore Ravens running back Terrence West.
Jones will compete for a roster spot with the teams other running backs, which currently include Jay Ajayi, Corey Clement, Darren Sproles, Wendell Smallwood, Donnel Pumphrey, and undrafted free agent Josh Adams.
Jones profiles as a short yardage back, but has built a reputation of being irresponsible with the ball fumbling eight times in his 25-game career. The team is in need of a power back after LeGarrette Blount signed with the Detroit Lions in free agency. Josh Adams also figures to get a look in short yardage situations during camp and preseason.
