Darius Slay INT

The Eagles have already lost Isaiah Rodgers, and now they appear to be officially losing a second corner.

According to Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports, veteran and 2024 team captain Darius Slay is headed to Pittsburgh to join the Steelers.

Slay was released, so he does not factor into the comp pick formula.

He has previously said that 2025 is expected to be his last year playing, so this is likely a fairly decent sized one-year deal (potentially additional years to spread out the cap hit).

Slay spent the past five seasons in Philadelphia as a starting outside corner, making it to the Super Bowl twice.

The deal cannot be finalized until Wednesday, so there’s always a chance things could change – which has already happened in Williams’ apparently giant market.

Update: Subsequent reports indicate the Eagles may still attempt to keep Slay while he remains under contract until Wednesday.

Update 3/12: Slay was officially released and is signing a one-year, $10 million deal (fully guaranteed) with the Steelers.
