The soon-to-be 33-year-old was reportedly considering retirement before the Eagles convinced him to join up with them for a shot at another Championship.
Lamm is coming off a season in which he appeared in 15 games and started seven for the Dolphins. Pro Football Focus gave him the 10th-highest pass-blocking grade of tackles last season.
The former undrafted free agent signed with the Texans in 2015 and has spent time in Houston, Cleveland, Tennessee, and Miami. He’s appeared in eight playoff games, but has only made it to a second game twice.
He’s appeared in 119 games and made 44 starts, so he brings plenty of experience. He also brings the size – at 6′ 5″, 310lbs.
Lamm would seem likely to be the team’s replacement for the departed Fred Johnson as the team’s backup swing tackle.
