If you are an NBA fan, then you probably know that big man Robin Lopez does not have a good reputation with league mascots. He's shamed them and fought them, holding nothing back, but the NBA's furry characters have not stopped attempting to prank him. If you are not familiar with Lopez's history with NBA mascots, here's a quick peek at some of his encounters.
On Wednesday night in Philadelphia against the Bulls, Lopez's current team, Sixers mascot Franklin got in on the fun. It wasn't the first time either. Franklin challenged Lopez to a boxing match in 2015 and prior to the end of that season, Franklin RKO'd an autographed cardboard cutout of the then Knicks big man. Earlier on in 2017, towards the end of last season, Franklin and Lopez engaged in a game of Simon says, which ended up with Lopez getting his warmup pants getting torn off by the Sixer mascot.
Getting back to Wednesday, the NBA recently announced their All-Star starters and reserves over the last week and not to anyone's surprise, Lopez did not make the cut. Franklin decided to manipulate Lopez's emotions and successfully punked him prior to last night's Sixers win against Chicago.
